Instant Wins Setup

Instant Wins allow customers to discover whether they have won a prize immediately upon order completion, without waiting for the main competition draw to finish.

How Instant Wins Work

1. You designate specific ticket numbers as lucky Instant Win tickets (e.g., ticket #77 wins £50 Cash).
2. When a participant completes an order holding ticket #77, the plugin detects the match immediately.
3. The customer is presented with an animated reveal screen on the Thank You / Order Received page.
4. Instant win emails are dispatched automatically to both the customer and site administrators.
5. The winning ticket can optionally remain eligible for the main end-of-competition jackpot draw.

Competition Edit Settings

In the Product Data box under the Competition panel, locate Card 4: Instant Wins:

• Instant winner (_lottery_instant_win): Enable this checkbox to activate instant win features on the competition.
• Instant winners can participate in main prize(s) (_lottery_instant_win_main_competition):
  • Checked: Winning tickets remain in the pool for the final jackpot draw.
  • Unchecked: Instant win tickets are automatically removed from the main prize draw, preventing double-dipping.
• Instant prize reveal animation (_lottery_reveal_mode): Select the gamified animation played on the Order Received / Thank You page:
  • None (plain text): Standard text banner notification.
  • Flip Card: 3D card turn animation.
  • Scratch Card: Interactive canvas scratch-off layer.
  • Case Opening (CS:GO style): Horizontal scrolling prize roller.
  • Spin the Wheel: Interactive carnival fortune wheel.

Competition Instant Prizes Metabox

Below the main product content editor, Quantum Competitions provides a dedicated Competition Instant Prizes management dashboard:

1. KPI Metric Cards

• Total Prize Pool: Sum of all instant win monetary values and total instant tickets configured.
• Claimed Prizes: Sum value and count of instant prizes won and awarded so far.
• Remaining Prizes: Real-time remaining value and count of unclaimed instant tickets.

2. Prize Groups Summary Table

Aggregates identical instant prizes across the competition into a categorized table:

• Prize label and monetary value.
• Total configured tickets badge.
• Claimed tickets badge.
• Remaining available tickets badge.

3. Bulk CSV Import

Upload hundreds or thousands of instant win tickets in seconds using a .csv or .txt file:

• Required Column Format:

  ticket number, prize description, value, category, image URL, custom data

• Example:

• Chunked Background Import: Processes entries in batches with a live percentage progress bar to prevent PHP timeout and memory limit errors on large prize catalogs.

4. Interactive Prizes Table (DataTables)

An AJAX-powered management table with direct modal CRUD:

• Add: Open a modal to add an individual instant prize ticket with ticket number, prize description, value, category, and image.
• Edit: Select an entry and click Edit to modify ticket number, prize description, or value.
• Delete: Delete one or multiple selected prizes.
• Toolbar Actions: Multi-row selection, search, pagination, column visibility toggles (colvis), and instant export to CSV or Excel.

Frontend Display & Tabs

When Instant Wins are enabled on a competition, Quantum Competitions automatically registers two dedicated tabs on the single product page:

1. Instant Prizes tab (lottery_instant_prizes_grouped): Displays the public prize pool table so customers can see what instant prizes are up for grabs and how many remain.
2. Instant winners tab (lottery_instant_winners): Displays a transparent live record of tickets and customers who have already won instant prizes.
