Up for auction is this 1915 black “Ragtime Rastus” jigger toy . While the record would play this little guy would dance around. Very neat!!! The piece measures 8.5″ tall and 7″ long overall. The man himself is about 5 3/4″. The jigger man is constructed of wood and jointed by nails. This piece is all original and in good condition with some paint wear. I really had no idea what this black dancer might be called but I found numerous U Tube videos that show him in action. We don’t have a phono to test him on, but now that we know he needed an adapter piece that goes on the spindle, we know he works fine. There is a mechanism inside the metal case on the bottom that makes the wire on top that holds the dancer go up and down. We can simply turn the adapter to make sure that he can “dance”. We had to order the adapter so it is a replacement. Everything else is authentic and old and bears the markings on the metal piece of Natinal Toy Co Boston Mass and dated 1915.

Signed on the bottom "Arsenio Fuentes". Good preowned condition, crack on tail (not all the way through) and on one back leg, could be repaired.

Tribal Native American Mask Very possibly haida. This northwest coast mask seems to be a replica, but in the same time the inner part shows a true nascent patina on both high and low sides, parts where the mask was the most seized.
